ARRIVE YOUR WAY.

Transport.

  • Drive.

Driving means you can travel at your pace and easily take your own bike(s). Driving in France, with empty motorways almost all the way, is easy at that time of year. It’s the preferred choice of our Directors. Take as much kit as you need and arrive stress-free and relaxed. Choose to cross the channel on a DFDS ferry from Dover-Calais or Newhaven-Dieppe or take the Eurotunnel.

Then you can drive directly to Alpe d’Huez or plan an overnight stop in Champagne or Burgundy and why not throw in a little ride arounds famous vineyards as we like to do ourselves!

  • Fly.

Book our suggested flights with Easyjet from London Gatwick to Lyon and we’ll meet you with a transfer to whisk you to Alpe d’Huez. Flights are now available for you to book. Our designated flights are as follows:

OUT Saturday 5/6/27 EasyJet London Gatwick to Lyon | Departs 14.45 | Arrives 17.25

RTN Friday 11/6/27 EasyJet Lyon to London Gatwick | Departs 18.40 | Arrives 19.20

Alternatively, just get to Lyon with your own choice of flights and benefit from the designated flights transfer. You will just need to be there before the outward designated Easyjet lands and depart after it departs for the return.

You can fly with your bike too (we can recommend the EVOC bike bag but here are some other suggestions). Or if you aren’t bringing your own bike then quality road bike hire can be arranged, including proper road e-bikes, through our specialist bike shop partner in resort.

  • Train.

Take the Eurostar from London to Paris, then a high-speed TGV down to Grenoble, a short distance from Alpe d’Huez, from where we can arrange a transfer. Work, read or relax on board and arrive feeling refreshed. Please however note that this option is less bike friendly so it probably works best if you then hire one of the quality road bikes in resort.
