How do rider groups work?
We suggest groupings based on ability, but you choose who you ride with. There are no official guides, it’s all about flexibility and camaraderie.
is transport included?
There are different package prices with different transport options. We can book a package with ferry or Eurotunnel, taking your own car or alternatively with train as a passenger. If you want to fly, you can book our suggested flights and benefit from our shared transfer from the airport to the resort. View transport options.
What fitness level do I need?
As it’s mountain riding with sustained gradient (mostly in the 5%-10% range), you need a decent level of fitness but nothing exceptional (ie. ride reasonably regularly, once or twice a week at least). We recommend you’re comfortable riding multiple days and tackling hilly terrain back at home. Our itineraries include options for different abilities both in terms of ride distances but more importantly daily vertical elevation gain (mostly 1500m-3000m, but 4500m too if you fancy!) .
What kind of bike should I bring?
A decent road bike in good condition is essential. Aside from TT bikes, the sort of bike you ride back at home will be suitable (even gravel bikes can be suitable). The only important aspect is to have the right gearing ratios (cassettes are easy to change and not that expensive). We will provide advice on aspects such as gearing ratios (cassette sizes) and what to bring nearer the time. You can bring your own bike or hire locally via our trusted rental partner. E-bikes are very welcome if you need a little help when the gradient gets steeper but still want to enjoy the amazing routes.
