TAKE A DFDS FERRY FROM DOVER TO CALAIS THEN DRIVE DOWN TO ALPE D’HUEZ

OPTION 2

  • This option costs from £658pp for 5 nights including a Dover/Calais DFDS ferry crossing (based on two sharing a car), shared accommodation with private bedroom (based on two sharing a two bedroom apartment), continental breakfasts, five 3-course dinners, suggested itineraries, the challenge, a cycling jersey and prize giving.

TAKE THE EUROTUNNEL LE SHUTTLE THEN DRIVE DOWN TO ALPE D’HUEZ

OPTION 3

  • This option costs from £694pp for 5 nights including a standard Eurotunnel Le Shuttle crossing (based on two sharing a car), shared accommodation with private bedroom (based on two sharing a two bedroom apartment), continental breakfasts, five 3-course dinners, suggested itineraries, the challenge, a cycling jersey and prize giving.

OPTION 4

TRAIN TRAVEL TO GRENOBLE THEN A TRANSFER TO ALPE D’HUEZ

Take the Eurostar passenger train from London to Paris Gare du Nord, then the fast TGV train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Grenoble. We can then arrange a private transfer from Grenoble to Alpe d’Huez.

Please note: you will be required to arrange your own travel insurance (compulsory) and bike insurance.

Flights (for those choosing to fly).

Any airport transfer outside those from the designated flights (these can be arranged for a premium).

Insurance for the trip (we insist participants have their own adequate travel insurance covering the trip. As this is not a race, any ordinary travel insurance covering travelling within the EU normally covers cycling as one of the activities).

Other meals not stated in the itinerary.

Bike rental (our partner cycling shop offers this, and other cycling shops in Bourg d’Oisans, which is right at the bottom of Alpe d’Huez also offer this).

Mechanical assistance (our partner cycling shop will be on hand but if this is required, this would be something you will need to pay for yourself).

Personal clothing and equipment.

Local tourist tax approx. €2.50 per day.
